Have you ever had a PEE (Peak Emotional Experience)? I have had two in the last two days and yesterday’s lasted four hours.
A Peak Emotional Experience is one of those experiences where you are shaking because your body is going through a change. The information, wisdom, and experience is changing your life at that very moment. You know at that particular place and time that your life will never be the same.
I have been experiencing this for the last two days and it was at its peak yesterday. This is more than I have ever felt in my entire life.
See this week I have been attending the “Call 2 Action” course with Michael Bernoff and words can not sum it up enough the way he has made me feel the last few days, from completely miserable and hating myself to on top of the world. It is kind of weird actually, his course is like military boot camp in that respect. He psychologically breaks you down only to build you back up and see your full potential in life, but he can do it in a mere five days if you let him.
*I do not make any money on promoting his course, but please take my recommendation, take this course as soon as possible, it will change your life.
If you had read my last post you will remember that for the last month or so I have taken a step back to work harder on myself than on my business. I know many of you have heard that phrase before, I can not remember how many times I had heard it. So I made a concentrated effort to do that. I read “Start With Why” by Simon Sinek, “Power vs. Force” by Dr. David Hawkins, and I was even taking Simon Sinek’s “Why U” course to find my inner why of it all. Beyond that, I was meeting with a mindset coach, Danielle Boonstra, an amazing person. I was also doing some soul searching and really trying to internalize where I was and where I was going. I was making positive ground, moving forward and getting back towards the direction I needed to be in.
I can tell you, that what I took away from all of the previous month compounded with what I have learned from Michael in just the last few days has resulted in great leaps and bounds in both me and shortly in my business. It has been an amazing journey and I am very much looking forward to the journey that has just become so much brighter ahead of me.
As many people who have started out on their journeys in life, there comes a time that you either want to quit or dig down deeper to find the answers. Sometimes we already have the answers we need, but we either do not understand them or ignore them. I can tell you myself I have been down both those paths with different things. What I understand now is so much more. However, the difference between whether we quit or dig down deeper is based on one simple thing, a decision. Does one decide to quit or does one decide to push forward.
I am telling you now, really look at the decisions you make in life. If you decide to quit, fine quit, find something new to put your energy and effort into. If you decide to dig down, then dig down as deep as you can go and push forward. Do not do what I had been doing and many have done, “Decide” to push forward, but really not change anything. If you do this, you have actually either really avoided making the decision or you have chosen to push forward, while actually giving up. It is like I have quoted before ” Either you do or do not, there is no try ” What I had found out was that I was not doing, because I had not really made that decision clear enough.
The other breakthrough I want to share with you today is this. Work harder on yourself than your business. What does this really mean? I had heard it over and over again, but I never understood it until yesterday. Yes it does include, taking care of yourself better, reading personal development books, but that is actually a really small part of the equation. You need to push yourself, in the aspects of your life that you have either avoided or been afraid of. Education, development, and pushing yourself on any limit you can. I am not saying go beyond reality, but nearly push and visit your limits regardless what it is. What happens? When you go back to normality it seems so much less, which in turn pushes your limit further away, because of your visit to your limit.
One thing I am curious about though is whether or not you see a difference in giving up and quitting? Answer in the comments below, would really like to have a discussion on this.

Harold,
Glad you have decided to push forward. I’ve also seen you come a long way on your path. Keep up the great work. One thing is constantly finding new ways to push yourself. Keep expanding that comfort zone. If something scares you, then play with it a little, you can always back off. Next time you visit there though push yourself a little further. You’ll soon see yourself accomplishing things you never dreamed of.
